Too many words – April 16

16 Apr

Too many words
That talk
And speak to me,
It’s like I cannot not hear them
Or maybe I do not want to hear;
They come and go.
There is an emptiness inside of me
Which none of them can fill.

Too many words,
With such simplicity
They roll on their tongues;
Big words.
They think they know who I am
But they do not.

Too many words
I have lost,
Better for me to shut up
And play the game.
Anyway, in one moment
It will all be over.

    Just read your recent poems. Sometimes the world does seem like “too many words”. Keep writing.
